Attention Senior IBDP Candidates (pursuing the full IB Diploma) & Course Candidates (taking individual IB Courses)

If you’re using the Common App and you are an IB Diploma Candidate, when you enter your classes for this year you have to enter "8" to include Extended Essay and TOK (both of which are fall semester). Your six subjects are all a full year.

Also, on the new Common App they ask if you plan to retake the SAT. If you are retaking, enter the retake date. All students should enter the SAT score they already have. If you are retaking, by virtue of indicating that you are retaking, colleges will be aware to watch for the new scores. Make sure you still send official scores directly from College Board. Just entering them on the Common App will not be official.

You will need to request a transcript for Common App on Parchment. You will need your Common App ID to put on Parchment to make sure your transcript appears on the Common App for your counselor to submit.

It is VERY important that you make an appointment with your Counselor BEFORE you hit SUBMIT on your Common App to make sure everything is filled out appropriately.
