When our son was getting ready to start Kindergarten, we looked at multiple schools to determine which one would provide him the greatest opportunity to succeed. We chose Hillside Elementary for a variety of reason including the commitment to becoming a Leader in Me school, the highly skilled teachers and staff, the diversity of the students and the welcoming community. Since the beginning, we have been happy with the choice for our son, and our daughter entered Kindergarten at Hillside two years later. The school has become a second home for our entire family. We appreciate the focus of the staff on teaching our kids not only the core subjects but also the skills required to be independent thinkers that believe they can accomplish anything. Additionally, there multiple enrichment opportunities to supplement the learning environment including activities such as Chess Club, Math Pentathlon, Cartooning, Science Olympiad, Coding and more. It is apparent that the teachers, staff, and entire Hillside community truly care about the students and their academic and personal development. At Hillside, we are truly ‘Learning and Leading Together’!
