Hybrid Programs
Hybrid programming, where online students take 1-3 concurrent in-person classes, is a great option for students and families who want the flexibility of online classes, while still enjoying in-person experiences that can't be replicated online. Many online students choose to have a hybrid schedule that includes performing arts classes like band, dance, or orchestra, or hands-on Career and Technical Education courses (CTE), like Automotive Technology.
"Perfect for learners who want the flexibility of online classes, but still want in-person electives like Automotive Tech or performance arts."
"Hybrid schedule" refers to students who are taking the majority of their classes online (at least 3 classes online), with 1-3 classes taken in-person. These students are scheduled by the Farmington Online department and should enroll in Farmington Online just like any other full-time online student. The Farmington Online counselor will schedule your student for both their online and in-person courses.
If your student has the majority of their schedule in-person and only wants to take 1-2 classes online, they are not considered a hybrid student; they are considered a "21f" in-person student and should not enroll in Farmington Online. If your student only wants to take 1-2 classes online, please contact your regular school counselor at North Farmington or Farmington High.
