Class Room 4

  • Lynn Lasley

Hi, I’m Miss Lynn from room 4. I teach all day Head Start. I have had the pleasure of teaching a Farmington Community School for many years in various roles.  I love the staff that I work with and the families I get to meet.  As teachers we are always learning new ways of teaching our children and drawing out their ideas.  My favorite part of our day is work time.  During this hour, I get to work and play with children, asking questions, finding out their ideas and thinking about how I can scaffold their intentions to the next level.  The biggest challenge facing many of our children is their social emotional development.  My goal is to have every child feel safe and supported while they are in our room.  We work on building friendships, empathy, cooperative play and solving conflicts.  Stop by our room for a visit anytime.

Welcome to room 4.  I’m Cissy Saam.  I am starting my fourth year here at Farmington Community School.  I will be working along side Lynn Lasley as the class Para educator.  I received my Associates Degree in Child Development from Schoolcraft College.  Currently, I am working towards a B.S. in Child and Family Development at Western University. My husband Mike and I have three children.  Cara, Zach and Lauren.  I look forward to working with your child this year!

    We Need Your help, Please

We are in need of recyclables for our classroom. Milk or orange juice tops, things we can use with magnets, interesting paper, envelopes that come with bills you don’t use, many items you recycle at home can be used for art in our classroom. Send ‘em in.
