Immunizations
On December 11, 2014, the administrative rule was passed by the Michigan Department of Community Health requiring any parent/guardian wanting to waive vaccine/vaccines for nonmedical reasons to receive vaccine education from their local health department. This rule went into effect January 1, 2015 and applies to children enrolled in a public or private licensed childcare, preschool, or Head Start program. It also applies to children entering a private or public kindergarten, 7th grade, or newly enrolled student in the school district. Below you will find more information:
