Class Room 7
Teaching team – Lara Ligerakis, Lisa Dunn and Pat Teeples
Hello, my name is Lara Ligerakis. I transferred to Alameda from Farmington Community School in 2016. I have been teaching an early childhood special education classroom for 9 years. Before moving to early childhood, I taught many years at Cloverdale School. In Room 7, we have both morning and afternoon sessions. I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education with an endorsement to teach students with cognitive impairments from Wayne State University. Early in my teaching career, I completed my master’s degree in early childhood education from Oakland University. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and children.
Lisa Dunn is one of the paraprofessionals in the classroom. Lisa has many years of experience working with children with special needs. Her knowledge is a great asset to the classroom. She has worked within the early childhood department as well as other schools around the district.
Pat Teeples joins us this year in Room 7. She has worked within many of the other classrooms in the early childhood department. She brings with her many years experience and a love of working with young children. We are excited to have her working in our room!
