Immunizations
On December 11, 2014, the administrative rule was passed by the Michigan Department of Community Health requiring any parent/guardian wanting to waive vaccine/vaccines for nonmedical reasons to receive vaccine education from their local health department. This rule went into effect January 1, 2015 and was updated March 1, 2017 and applies to children enrolled in a public or private licensed childcare, preschool, or Head Start program. It also applies to children entering a private or public kindergarten, 7th grade, or newly enrolled student in the school district. Below you will find more information:
