Mr. Rob Kauffman has served as the principal at Hillside Elementary School since 2016. Prior to that, he was the principal for 13 years in Farmington Public Schools at Lanigan Elementary School and Warner Upper Elementary School. Rob has been a principal for 23 years. He also spent four years teaching elementary school in third grade and Kindergarten. He received the Farmington MCMR’s 2017 Rainbow Celebrating Excellence in Diversity Award. Rob served as president of MEMSPA (Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals’ Association) in 2012-13. He currently serves as a trustee on the MEMSPA Foundation. Rob and his wife, Julie, have four children ranging from 2nd grade to 11th grade. He enjoys time with his family, golfing and Cubs’ baseball..

Mrs. Stefanie Borysiak has served as the administrative dean at Hillside since 2018. She began her work in education in 2001 as an art teacher in the Waterford School District. Stefanie came to Farmington Public Schools in 2003 to teach art Kindergarten-8th grade. Stefanie became the district K-12 Fine Arts Coordinator in 2007. She returned to teaching art at Hillside in 2010. Stefanie was then moved to Beechview Elementary School for the past 8 years teaching art and continued as the K-12 Art Coordinator. Stefanie and her husband, Rob, have two elementary-aged daughters. She enjoys reading, watching sports, golfing, and spending time with family.
