Head Start / Great Start Readiness Program

  • Great Start Readiness Program - Michigan's Nationally Recognized PreK Program

    Free, high quality preschool programs are available now through Head Start and the Great Start Readiness Program, if you meet the income guidelines. For instance, families of four, with a four year old, earning up to $66,250 per year are sometimes eligible. Full-day openings are available now throughout Oakland County with transportation services offered at select sites. To enroll in Head Start, children must be three on or before September 1, 2022 and to enroll in GSRP, children must be four years old on or before December 1, 2022.     Head Start is a federally funded free preschool program (eligibility requirements apply) for children ages three to four years old. Breakfast/Snack, lunch and transportation are provided.

     

    GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) is a state funded free preschool program (eligibility requirements apply) designed for four year old children.
