Supporting Students During Religious Observances

Farmington Public Schools recognizes that families in our community observe a variety of religious and cultural holidays throughout the year. Some observances may include fasting, evening or early-morning services, or family gatherings that can affect a student’s schedule or availability.

When a student is observing a religious holiday, our schools work with families to provide reasonable accommodations including flexibility with deadlines, assessments, and class activities. If your family has an upcoming observance, we encourage you or your student to contact your child’s teacher in advance so we can plan together.
