Personal Curriculum
A Personal Curriculum (PC) is an option allowed by the State of Michigan that can adjust certain parts of the Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) high school graduation requirements for an individual student.
A PC is considered only after other supports and options have been tried, and it must follow strict state guidelines. If a student meets all requirements of their approved Personal Curriculum, the district may award a high school diploma even if the student’s plan differs from the standard MMC requirements.
