Student Technology Experience in Farmington Public Schools

Farmington Public Schools is committed to preparing every student for success in a connected and transformative digital world. Through Techquity, our robust 1:1 technology model, each student has access to a personal learning device that supports creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking—both in and beyond the classroom.

Every K–12 classroom is equipped with a SMART Interactive Flat Panel to enhance instruction and bring learning to life through dynamic, hands-on engagement. Teachers design interactive lessons that make concepts more clear and keep students actively involved.

Students and teachers also have access to a robust suite of digital tools and programs that support personalized learning across all subject areas. These tools help students express ideas, explore interests, and demonstrate understanding in creative ways.

Featured programs include, but not limited to:

  • Canvas (Instructure) for online learning and organization
  • Clever for single-sign on access to digital programs
  • Google Suite and Canva for content creation
  • Book Creator for digital publishing and storytelling
  • Kami and Peardeck for interactive lessons and collaboration
  • Newsela for reading comprehension and current events
  • WeVideo and Soundtrap for multimedia creation
  • Xello and Pathful Connect for career exploration and future planning

Additional resources that support skill development, literacy, math, and innovative learning experiences are available to all students. FPS’ technology-rich environment empowers students to think critically, communicate effectively, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
