High School Virtual Learning

Virtual Learning Program

Does your student learn better at their own pace?

Looking for an alternative option to the traditional school day, where students can learn anywhere, any time?

Students in the Virtual Learning Program (VLP) work at their own pace through a learning platform, and receive instruction in Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, and Social Studies, as well as two electives.  Classes are not live and not required to take place at a specific time, so students can learn and complete work anytime and anywhere*. Certified Farmington teachers provide mentorship and support. Tutoring and extra assistance is also available on demand throughout the school day through the Edgenuity learning system.

Students remain culturally connected to their home school.  This means they can play sports, join clubs, and attend after-school events at their home school.   High School students graduate from their home schools and with a Farmington or North Farmington high diploma, and walk at graduation.

To learn more about ALL of our K-12 online programs, please view our interactive slide deck.

ACE: Did you know that attending Farmington Online can be combined with the Accelerated College Experience program, where students can graduate from high school with a fully-paid for Associate's Degree and up to 60 transferrable college credits?

OSTC: Many Farmington Online students also choose to participate in the Oakland Schools Technical Campus program, designed for any student who wants to graduate high school with industry certifications, on-the-job experiences, business connections, or college credits.

Hybrid Schedules:  Many online students choose to take 1-2 in-person classes each day at their home high school, and complete the rest of their day online.

*Please note that students and families must reside within the Farmington Public Schools’ district boundaries, or be enrolled through School of Choice, in order to participate in remote and virtual programming.
