Joining BPA, CyberPatriot, DECA, HOSA, Skills USA = More Real World Relevance for FPS Students
A Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is a “club” for students enrolled in a CTE program that engages in hands-on leadership, community service and competitive activities as an integral part of the instructional program. Each of FPS’ three high schools have CTSO chapters that meet the requirements of state-approved CTE programs and are an engaging opportunity for students to build skills. The school chapters are led by teachers and a student-elected Board.
BPA - Business Professionals of America serves students who are enrolled in a business education program. The mission of BPA is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. Farmington students who take courses in Computer Applications, Web Design, Accounting and Finance, and Marketing frequently participate in their high school BPA chapter. CyberPatriot – CyberPatriot is an association of students enrolled in the cybersecurity program. The National Youth Cyber Education Program was created by the Air Force Association (AFA) to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future.
