Welcome to Room 8! My name is Jan Tatomir and I teach 4 year olds and 2 1/2 year olds (the Littles). I love what I do! I have a BS in Elementary Education, but my heart has always been with our littlest learners. My biggest goal is to make every child who enters my room feel safe and secure. We work on building friendships, empathy, cooperative play and helping the children solve conflicts in a respectful manner. I have 3 adult sons and 3 spoiled cats. In my spare time I enjoy making greeting cards, crafting and reading.
Hello my name is Thmeaa Yaldo and I am a paraprofessional. I emigrated to Michigan from Iraq in 1992. I am trilingual, speaking Arabic, Chaldean, and English fluently. I have been married to my husband since 1994, we have three amazing children, who are all grown up. Our eldest is a certified public accountant, our middle child is on her last semester of her masters for speech-language pathology, and our youngest is on his third year of his bachelors at Wayne State University. I have been working in Farmington Public school for over 20 years. I love what I do and I especially am passionate about being with the kids, and watching them make unbelievable accomplishments. My belief is that if I can plant one good seed in a child’s mind, and help it grow in the world, then my job is complete.
