FPS Proclamation

On August 11, 2020 the Farmington Public Schools’ Board of Education adopted the following proclamation and related action steps in an effort to commit to combating racism and related institutional practices in our schools in response to recent events and feedback from our community. In a community with such wonderful diversity of culture, religion, race, and thought, the intent of the proclamation was to bring the school community together through action. And, a road to action must begin with a vision of a shared destination; a school environment devoid of racism, hatred, or bigotry.
