  • NFHS Class of 2021 Graduation - Sunday, June 13

    Graduation Flyer

    Updated June 1

Our Graduation Ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 13, on our stadium field.

We are writing to provide a critical update on our plans for our graduation ceremonies at North Farmington High School.  As you may be aware, recent legislation has loosened restrictions on graduation ceremonies across the state.  In light of this development, we have worked across the district to make some adjustments to our plans for Sunday, June 13th.

Previous plans to hold two smaller ceremonies at each school have been changed to provide for one ceremony at each building on our home stadium fields.  On Sunday, June 13th, North Farmington High School will graduate the class of 2021 at 1:00 p.m. on Holland Field. Graduates will be expected to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the ceremonies. Gates will open one hour before the ceremonies.

With the entire class in one ceremony and the constraints of our athletic facilities, we are able to expand from three guests per graduate, but must still limit the number of participants to no more than four (4) spectators per graduate.  We will provide tickets directly to our graduates.  Additionally, parking on site will be limited to one car per graduate, with additional parking available off site. We will run shuttles from these off site areas.

Communication will follow from the individual schools with additional details, including specific information on the pick up of tickets and parking permits, satellite parking options, and more.

When we began working with our students and parents several months ago, we heard a strong desire to celebrate this final moment as a class all together.  Although moving to one ceremony will present some logistical challenges for us, we are very pleased that this change will bring us closer to what the vast majority of our graduating seniors want and deserve.

    • We are asking all graduates and their guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to beginning of the ceremony.
    • The ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to physically attend.
    • To protect the artificial turf on our stadium field, absolutely no heels or other footwear that could puncture the surface will be allowed.
    • Because this is an outdoor ceremony, we encourage everyone to wear sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather.
    • A handicap seating section will be provided for those in need of accommodations.
    • We strive to provide a dignified ceremony for our graduates. Air horns, other artificial noisemakers, and anything else that will detract from ensuring a respectful celebration of all of our graduates will not be permitted.
    • In the event of inclement weather, our ceremony will be rescheduled for the evening of Wednesday, June 16.
    • Out of respect that this is a formal ceremony that will be live streamed, students should not decorate their caps.

  • NFHS Senior Alumni Prom - Wednesday, June 16

When presented with the mitigation measures that would need to be in place for a school-sanctioned prom, our senior class, based on survey data from their classmates, overwhelmingly expressed a desire to organize an Alumni Prom after graduation.  Senior class officers are in the process of organizing this event. See the Alumni Prom Doc for more information and details.
