    Students are “employees,” operating a full-scale retail store offering school spirit wear, gifts, snacks and more. School store employees apply skills learned in Marketing, including Point of Sale (POS), balancing registers, inventory, purchasing, merchandising, advertising, promotions, display and security.     Student “managers” oversee the daily activities of store operations, working with student “employees” in training, supervision, scheduling, evaluation and maintenance functions. Managers interact with vendors, make purchases, analyze pricing strategies, introduce new products and maintain inventory.     Advanced Marketing 02320
    Learn how companies integrate online marketing strategies with social media, mobile apps, database emails, website content, mobile/cellular marketing, search engines, blogs and more. Learn the latest trends happening in advertising, public relations and sales using an online presence to market products and increase sales. Then explore the glamorous and lucrative world of sports and entertainment marketing. Sponsorships, branding, promotions, public relations, licensing, and consumer research and behavior are analyzed and applied to the S&E industry. The skills learned in Advanced Marketing will give students a competitive edge in DECA. **Pathway: Business, Management, Marketing & Technology

    Entrepreneurship 02322
    Do you dream of being your own boss? For many people it’s the “American Dream.” In this class, students identify their potential for creating a business or marketable product/idea. Through research, financial analysis and product development, students will create business plans. Students have the opportunity to use business plans to compete in DECA and the skills learned in Entrepreneurship will give students a competitive edge in DECA.  **Pathway: Business, Management, Marketing & Technology
