FSA LOTTERY INFORMATION For School Year 2024-25

Welcome families to the 2024-2025 Farmington STEAM Lottery!

This year, we will again be utilizing Schoolmint to create parent accounts, add your students to your account and fill out applications for the STEAM Lottery.

Please see our video tutorials at the bottom of this page for instruction on using Schoolmint to create accounts, add students, and complete Applications.

Below is a timeline for this year’s lottery:

Application Period Opens:
Monday December 4 (9 a.m.) (Add new students, Update existing students and fill out an application for EACH student in Schoolmint)

Application Period Ends:  
Monday, December 11 (11:59 p.m)

Lottery Drawing:
The lottery drawing will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Lottery Results Published:  
Friday, December 15 - Seat offer emails are sent via Schoolmint, waiting list positions available on the parent dashboard in Schoolmint

Deadline for families to accept Seats:
If selected in the STEAM Lottery, parents will have until Friday December 22, 2023 to accept or decline their seat via Schoolmint.

Farmington STEAM Academy Building Tour: 
A tour of FSA for lottery applicants who received a lottery seat for the 2024-2025 school year will be offered - date to be determined.

You MUST be a CURRENT resident living within the Farmington Public School District's established boundaries at the time of application. If you are unsure, please see the District Street Guide located on the District website at https://www.farmington.k12.mi.us/street-guide to determine eligibility.

The lottery application form is for the 2024-2025 school year ONLY. You MUST re-apply for the lottery each year if you are NOT selected. Prior year's applications WILL NOT be considered.

You will be contacted by email no later than Friday, December 15, 2023,  if your child has received a spot for the 2024-2025 school year. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SCHOOL OFFICE to see whether your child has received a spot, or where they are on the waiting list.

If your child does not receive a spot, they will be put on a waiting list per grade level. As spots become available, the next name on the waiting list will be contacted. This may happen well into the summer or fall.

You will be able to see your seat acceptance, or waiting list position for each of your students on your parent dashboard in Schoolmint

The District is unable to provide bus transportation for students attending Farmington STEAM Academy. Students will need to be picked up at the end of the school day unless they participate in Y Child Care (K-5) or the Y-Care After School Program (6-8).

Farmington STEAM Academy is NOT open for current or new Section 105 or Section 227 School of Choice students.
