Class Room 5
Teaching Team – Mrs. Curtis and Mrs. Kekich
My name is Kyle Curtis and this is my third year at Alameda. I taught at Wood Creek Elementary for seven years in a self contained autism classroom and was excited to come over to Alameda. I teach a morning early childhood special education room located in room 5 and in the afternoon I have the opportunity to go out into the preschool classrooms and work with students. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with endorsements in early childhood and learning disabilities. I earned my master’s degree in special education with an endorsement in autism spectrum disorders. I am currently attending Oakland University to work on my PhD in early childhood. I live in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
Kathy Kekich will be working with me this year. Kathy is from Northville and comes to us with much experience and a love for children.
