SENIOR PICTURE SPECIFICATIONS

Focal Point in Farmington is our official school photographer. You may use other photographers, but please note the following information closely to assure your senior picture appears in the yearbook.

If you haven’t made an appointment yet, do so soon. Slots fill up fast and if you wait too long, it may be too late to get your picture in the yearbook. Most studios recommend scheduling appointments no later than the end of May of the junior year.

The following specifications for your senior yearbook pictures should be given to your photography studio. If you use Focal Point, they already have these specifications on file:

 

SENIOR YEARBOOK PHOTOS

Photos must be in color with a medium blue tone background.

Photos must be a traditional head and shoulder pose with no props or soft focus.

Width: 1 ¾
Height: 2 ¼
Headsize:: 1 ¼

Deadline: January 31st, 2012

Pictures are due no later than January 31st, 2012. Most studios will send us their pictures, some will not. Please check with your studio to see if this is your responsibility or theirs.

COMPOSITE

The composite consists of individual, cameo-like pictures of the entire class. If you have your pictures take at Focal Point, your pictures will automatically be included in the composite.

COMPOSITE PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

1. A traditional head and shoulder pose with no props or soft focus.
2. In color with a warm, medium blue background.
3. You may submit either a print or an image on CD.

The Specs for a print are:
Width: 2 ½"
Length: 3 ½"
Headsize: 1½"

The Specs for a CD are:
Pixel Dimensions: 640x800
DPI: 250
Format: TIF
Color Space: SRGB
Headsize: 1½"

4. Please enclose a correct spelling of the student’s proper name and name of high school (North Farmington High School) along with a fee of $26.50 for each photo submitted.

Fee covers time, planning and workmanship to produce composite and a copy for the student to receive at graduation.

5. Deadline for composite photo is January 31st, 2012.
