Ms. Lacy spent 11 years teaching high school math, after working 12 years at National Bank of Detroit in comptrollers and the trust departments. She has a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and Master's of Curriculum and Instruction degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy where she served as an adjunct professor and president of the Detroit Area Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She is currently working towards her doctorate at WSU.
