LANIGAN EXTENDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Did you know that there are many exciting programs both during and after school at Lanigan designed to promote learning beyond the classroom? Together with the PTA, the Extended Learning Opportunities Committee sponsors several great programs including:

Math Pentathlon- a weekly math game team culminating in an annual tournament

Word Masters- a vocabulary building competition for 3rd and 4th graders.

Junior Great Books- a literature based discussion group

Destination Imagination- a student-lead problem-solving creativity team

And many more like ArtSmart, Math Avengers and the annual Science Fair. To find out how your student can participate or to volunteer your time to help, contact David McCown, our PTA Vice-president for student achievement.
