The Harrison High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a group of HHS parents, administrators, teachers and students working together to improve involvement, awareness and communications among the school’s staff, parents, students, school district and greater community. HHS PTSA hosts parent forums and meetings on relevant topics, supports academic initiatives and participates in community organizations and school district committees including the Farmington African American Parent Network and Proud Dads Club. Harrison High School PTSA provides students with leadership and service opportunities that develop skills and produce achievements that will be recognized by colleges, universities and community organizations when determining admissions and/or scholarships. HHS PTSA strives to provide an additional means to explore student interests through art, service and advocacy opportunities. Student members are eligible for the C. Robert Maxfield Farmington PTA Scholarship and for Distinguished Service Awards from HHS and the Farmington PTA Council as well as Michigan and National PTA scholarships. HHS PTSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization and part of the National PTA, Michigan PTA and Farmington Area PTA Council organizations. We welcome all parents, staff, students and community members to join. Annual individual membership is $10 for the first family member and $5 each for additional family members. You do not have to be a member of HHS PTSA to attend meetings and events, and membership is not an obligation to volunteer. You will receive a school directory with your PTSA membership. Your annual membership also shows your support of the PTA mission and of the activities supported at Harrison High School. Membership also gives you voting privileges on how funds are spent and which activities HHS PTSA supports. Membership is required to hold office in the PTSA.
