On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, the LOC Federal Credit Union at Forest will open!

The program consists of a full service LOC branch inside Forest Elementary. Participating fourth grade students gain hands-on experience on how to run a branch performing duties of the various positions available in a financial institution, such as a teller, manager and member service representative. They also learn proper interview techniques, professionalism, teamwork, the importance of math and marketing skills, and much more. The goal is for students to become financially educated and gain real-life work experience.

Our team is trained and ready to open and serve you on October 9. We will be open every Tuesday from 2:15-2:45 pm. All Forest students, parents and staff members will be able to open their own personal savings account and conduct their own deposits/small withdrawals under the direction of Shayna McArthur, LOC Federal Credit Union Representative. Help teach your child(ren) learn the value of saving by opening an LOC savings account today.

If you would like your student to learn the value of saving money, help them open an account! The application can be accessed on the link below, printed out and returned. Applications will also be coming home with your student.
