• To recognize those students who have shown outstanding abilitiy in art (you get to wear rainbow cords at graduation)
• To aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area
• To bring art to the attention of the school and community
• To improve the aesthetics of the school building.
• To link the students with a distinguished group of approximately 23,000 art students across the country
• To create recognition for the students when they apply for entry into a college or university
• To provide additional scholarship opportunities only available through N.A.H.S.
