Curriculum: T.H.I.N.K. (Teaching, Helping, Involving, Noticing Kids)
The Farmington Police Department provides fifth grade students with a Drug/Alcohol Prevention Program entitled T.H.I.N.K. (Teaching, Helping, Involving, Noticing Kids).
Each fifth grade classroom in the District receives 4-45 minute prevention sessions instructed by police officers who have been trained to provide this information to students. These sessions focus on teaching the harmful impact of chemical use on students and their families. Proven methods for refusing drugs and alcohol are used.
